Carlo Wahlbeck was born in 1933 in Stockholm, Sweden and moved to the United States where he resided for 40 years. He is best known for his surrealist works in painting and sculpture inspired by the American Indian. His studio produced some of the finest handmade cast-paper sculptures in the world renowned for their detail and quality, many with metallic finishes unique to the medium. His works are in prominent private and corporate collections in the United States and abroad.
