CREATE CENTER FOR THE ARTS PRESENTS

THE FOURTH ANNUAL GUI IGNON STUDENT ARTIST EXHIBITION

Registration Opens September 24th

Elementary, middle and high school, home school or college students and students of CREATE are eligible. Please read the prospectus below before registering. 

This show is free to enter and will be juried! Prize money is available to students for different categories including originality, people’s choice and best in show.

CREATE Center is proud to host the 4th Annual Gui Ignon Student Artist Exhibition. We are honored to be able to continue the tradition of honoring Gui Ignon and encouraging young artists. We are especially grateful for local art teachers that foster creativity and passion in their students.

This year's show will be on exhibit at our center near the San Pablo Corridor and available for viewing in an online gallery. We invite all local students to register their submissions by October 2nd. All artwork entered into the show will be on display in our open to the public gallery throughout the duration of the show.

Please be aware of our COVID-19 guidelines when dropping off art, during events and during art pick up. Masks are required for all visitors regardless of vaccination status. The CREATE Staff is dedicated to following recommended guidelines and providing a safe enviorment for all artists and visitors.

Important Dates

Registration: September 24th - October 2nd (Please use the link below to download the registration form.)

Public Open House: October 13th, 4pm - 7pm

Show Dates: October 13th - November 20th

Awards Luncheon: November 20th, 12pm - 2pm

Unsold Art Pick Up: November 23rd -30th

Accepted Works

We are accepting traditional artwork as well as digital art, 3D pieces (no larger than 18" by 18"), photography, and fiber work. If your work falls outside these categories, please contact us and we will work to accomodate including it.

To register your work for this show, please download the entry form at the bottom of this page. Bring your completed entry form and your artwork to CREATE Center for the Arts at 73600 Alessandro Drive in Palm Desert, CA on September 24th - 25th from 10am - 4pm or September 28th - October 2nd from 10am - 4pm.

Eligibility

This show is open to all K-12 students, college students, and students at CREATE Center for the Arts. All artwork submitted must be gallery ready and be accompanied by a registration form that can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.

Entry Fee

Entry to this show is free thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Ignon Family and Don Porter,

Sales

All submitted artwork is expected to be for sale. Artists can indicate on their entry form the donation amount of their sale that will go to CREATE Center.
