Volunteering at CREATE
Be a part of CREATE behind the scenes and help serve your community. There are opportunities to help with classes, events, workshops, exhibitions, and the day-to-day work that makes CREATE Center what it is.
Weekly Volunteers:
Weekly volunteers work with us the most often. They typically will have one or two shifts during the week. Each shift is three hours long from either 10am – 1pm or 1pm – 4pm. These volunteers are a huge help in offering support at the front desk, in the art store, and giving tours of the center to walk-ins. We currently have a few more time slots we are looking to fill.
Event Volunteers:
Event volunteers join us on an as-needed basis for special events at CREATE or around the community. This can be anything from manning a booth at the local farmer’s market to passing out info at the Indian Wells Art Festival. Emails are sent out periodically to volunteers on this list with upcoming opportunities and volunteers can offer to help at events they are available for.
Committee Volunteers:
Committee volunteers serve on a committee with board members, staff and other volunteers to plan and execute different events and programs. This is a great position for those with a passion for event planning, organization, and strategic thinking.
Other Opportunities:
We currently have an opportunity available for high school and middle school students to join our Youth Art Council. This council will help guide CREATE Center’s youth focused programming and outreach.
We are always on the lookout for skilled volunteers that can help with bookkeeping, building maintenance, marketing, and graphic design projects.
